How to Grow Carrot Seeds

When you buy carrot seeds from Mr Fothergill's, you can sow them whenever you wish. Carrot seeds have a flexible growing period, although we would recommend avoiding sowing them in the hottest or coldest months of the year. When growing carrot seeds, ensure the soil is dug to a good depth and all stones are removed. Avoid overfertilising, as this can result in forked roots. As carrots are root vegetables, they are best sown directly into their final growing position to avoid damaging or deforming their taproot.
