Aster Californian Giant is a summer sensation, and now you can grow your own with Mr Fothergill’s Aster seeds. Growing up to 60 cm tall, these old favourites add height and drama to garden beds, borders, and containers–as well as colour, with pinks, reds, purples, and whites. They’re a true focal point in any planting scheme.
These flowers are great for cutting and making impressive displays in vases. As an annual, it flowers in the same year and does well in either sun or partial shade. Being so easy to grow, it rewards beginner gardeners or anyone with small, less-than-ideal garden spaces.

How to Grow
Sow Aster seeds in seed boxes or punnets, about 5mm (0.25in) deep, or directly in the flowering position. Plant 45cm (18in) apart, waiting until the frosts are over. In hot weather, spread a mulch of lawn clippings or compost over the soil surface to conserve moisture and keep the roots cool. Asters need plenty of water during their growing and flowering season.

Refunds
All goods we sell must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose they are sold for. If your seeds or bulbs do not grow for whatever reason we will happily provide you with a replacement. For all other products, please contact our head office through our contact us page. Please note we are not required to give refunds for change of mind or under any other circumstances.

Note to WA Customers! The Dept of Agriculture and Food in WA have significantly increased their inspection fee for any seed sent into the state. As this cost is covered by us, we have unfortunately had to increase our postage charges to WA.
