Mr Fothergill’s Chicken Foraging Mix is a hardy mix of annual and perennial greens specifically designed to support the nutritional needs and natural behaviours of your free-range chickens. Made with a diverse variety of easy-to-grow seeds, it provides plenty of essential nutrients and amino acids to help keep your chickens healthy and happy.
As well as promoting physical well-being, our high-quality Chicken Foraging Mix also helps to facilitate essential foraging instincts, providing enrichment and fostering important social interactions within your flock. Ideal for rotational grazing.

Varieties may include (subject to availability): Bok Choy, Buckwheat, Forage Chicory, Clover, Cocksfoot, Endive, Kale, Millet, Forage Plantain, Purslane, Silverbeet, Subclover, and Sunflower.

Contact UsHow To Grow
Sow Mr Fothergill’s Chicken Foraging Mix virtually year-round, avoiding the hottest and coldest months. The seeds can be scattered thinly or sown in the foraging position, allowing 2-3g seed per m². Keep the chickens off the area until plants are established and have reached a height of between 5 and 10cm. After initial grazing, move the chickens to another area, allowing the plants to reshoot.
Seedlings emerge after 7-14 days.

Refunds
All goods we sell must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose they are sold for. If your seeds or bulbs do not grow for whatever reason we will happily provide you with a replacement. For all other products, please contact our head office through our contact us page. Please note we are not required to give refunds for change of mind or under any other circumstances.

Note to WA Customers! The Dept of Agriculture and Food in WA have significantly increased their inspection fee for any seed sent into the state. As this cost is covered by us, we have unfortunately had to increase our postage charges to WA.
