If you want to grow cucumber seeds, look no further than Cucumber Spacemaster container garden seeds from Mr. Fothergill’s. This bush vegetable seed variety forms a neat and compact plant with high yields of tasty fruit. Taking up less space than more traditional types of cucumber, it is ideal for smaller gardens and can even be grown successfully in tubs, pots, and containers. Plus, it’s tolerant of the cucumber mosaic virus, giving you a healthy crop season after season.

For a successful cucumber container garden, sow your Spacemaster cucumber seeds 12mm (1/2") deep directly into their final growing position. Plant 4-5 seeds in small clumps, thinning them later to the two strongest seedlings. Space the clumps 40-50cm (16-20in) apart, with 60cm (2ft) between rows. Prepare the soil beforehand with organic material or a complete fertiliser. Your cucumber seedlings will emerge within 7-10 days. When the plants have five or six leaves, pinch out the growing tips to encourage side shoots for better yields. Keep your cucumber plants consistently well-watered for best results.

Refunds
All goods we sell must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose they are sold for. If your seeds or bulbs do not grow for whatever reason we will happily provide you with a replacement. For all other products, please contact our head office through our contact us page. Please note we are not required to give refunds for change of mind or under any other circumstances.

Important Note
These seeds are treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL), do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Fungicide treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain varieties of seeds. It does not affect your crops or harm insects such as bees.
