It produces tight, solid hearts with a wonderfully crisp snap that gives much-needed texture to sandwiches and salads.
As for growing, All Year Round lettuce is very hardy and adaptable, which is how it grows any time of year. Grow indoors or in a shadier spot at the height of summer or in as sunny a part of the garden as you can find in the cooler months, and you can enjoy fresh lettuce no matter what season it is.

All Year Round lettuce is one of the easiest varieties to grow, and can be grown at any time of year. Sow the seeds thinly, 5mm (1/4in) deep, in rows 25-30cm (10-12in) apart. Keep the soil moist and thin the seedlings to 20-25cm (8-10in) apart. Keep the plants watered and free from weeds as they grow.
All Year Round lettuce–like all lettuce varieties—is a fast-yielding crop. Harvest when the head of lettuce has a firm heart, typically up to 10 weeks after sowing; picking in the morning is best, because that’s when the leaves are the freshest and juiciest.

All goods we sell must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose they are sold for. If your seeds or bulbs do not grow for whatever reason we will happily provide you with a replacement. For all other products, please contact our head office through our contact us page. Please note we are not required to give refunds for change of mind or under any other circumstances.

Note to WA Customers! The Dept of Agriculture and Food in WA have significantly increased their inspection fee for any seed sent into the state. As this cost is covered by us, we have unfortunately had to increase our postage charges to WA.
