Sunflower Giant Single
Our Sunflower Giant Single Seeds produce majestic plants with enormous golden yellow flower heads. These sunflower seeds are great fun to grow and produce impressively quick results - ideal for gardening with children. The Sunflower Giants are hardy annual seeds that flower in as little as 8 weeks.
Giant Sunflowers are often grown for their sunflower seeds which can be consumed as a healthy treat and used in cooking. They are also a popular food for birds and seed-loving pets such as chickens. Sunflowers are also popular with pollinators with their pollen and nectar providing a valuable food source for bees and butterflies.
The Sunflower Giant Single requires a sunny position in your flower garden to reach heights up to three meters!
How To Grow
Sow two Sunflower Giant Single seeds together, 5mm (quarter-inch) deep, at intervals of about 30cm (1ft), directly where they are to flower. Keep the flower seeds moist until well established and thin out to one plant per position.
Tall plants should be staked, particularly as the main flower develops.
