Contact UsHow To Grow
Hot Pink Ranunculus F1 corms do best in well-drained soil and a full sun position. You can plant these spring flowering bulbs in late summer, autumn, or early winter for blooms next year.
Soak the bulbs in a bowl of water for an hour before planting. Keep the claws face down when placing them in the soil. Plant the bulbs 5-15cm (2-6 in) apart, with the corm twice its own height below the soil surface, either in the ground or in a pot/container. Hot Pink Ranunculus F1 prefers moist soils, but avoid waterlogging them as they grow. In particularly hot areas, Ranunculus can be damaged by heat, but otherwise does best with six hours of full sun a day.
Water your ranunculus seedlings regularly, keeping the top 10cm (4 in) of soil damp but not soggy during the first few months. Once established, keep the plants consistently moist during growth and flowering.
Water with a liquid fertiliser from late winter through to the end of spring for continuous blooms throughout winter and spring. For cut flowers, cut when the buds are colourful and squishy, but not open. You can either lift and store the corms to replant them or leave them where they are for them to rebloom.
