Pink Ranunculus F1 corms do best in well-drained soil and full sun. The best time to plant these flower bulbsis in autumn.
Soak the bulbs in a bowl of water for an hour before planting, keeping the claws face down when placing them in the soil. Plant the bulbs 5-15cm (2-6 in) apart, with the corm twice its own height below the soil surface, either in the ground or in a pot/container. While Pink Ranunculus F1 prefers moist soils, avoid waterlogging. In hot northern areas the plants will benefit from afternoon shade, but otherwise, six hours of full sun a day will give you the best possible blooms.
Water seedlings and young plants regularly, keeping the top 10cm (4 in) of soil damp but not soggy during the first few months. Once established, keep the plants consistently moist during growth and flowering.
For long-lasting blooms from late winter through spring, fertilise every fortnight with a liquid fertiliser once the plants come into bloom. For Ranunculus cut flowers, harvest when the buds have colour but aren’t yet open. You can lift, dry, and store Ranunculus corms until the next autumn or leave them where they are.
