Widely used in Asian dishes, these Shallots look like a cross between an onion and garlic. They form garlic-like cloves and have a mild onion taste. Harvest and chop the green leaves for use in a salad or the dry bulb similar to garlic.

How To Grow

Plant: 5-7cm deep 15-20cm apart in full sun/ part shade. They love sunny well drained positions with a little lime added to the soil before planting and to be fed generously.

Our bulbs are seasonally available at leading garden retailers nationwide. Spring flowering varieties are in peak season February to June, and Summer flowering varieties and produce from June to September. Please contact your nearest garden retailer for availability.
