Perpetual Spinach is a fantastic choice for gardeners who want a continuous supply of fresh, tender leaves. Growing in neat, rosette-shaped bunches, this hardy spinach has a mild, delicious flavour that’s perfect for sandwiches, omelettes, and soups. Its resistance to bolting means you can keep harvesting fresh greens well into the warmer months, giving you a steady supply of healthy, tasty greens long after other varieties.
As for its flavour, Perpetual Spinach has a mild and slightly sweet taste with a delicate, earthy undertone. The leaves are tender, with just the right amount of subtle pepperiness. Whether you’re enjoying it raw in a salad or cooking it up in casseroles, this spinach won’t disappoint.
Ideal for small spaces, this spinach is just as happy in pots as it is in garden beds; it’s easy to grow and low maintenance, thriving in sunny spots with moist soil.

Sow Perpetual Spinach from spring to autumn, or through winter in warmer areas. Plant the seeds thinly, about 12mm (1/2in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart. For a continuous crop, sow repeatedly at three-week intervals. Once seedlings are established, thin them out to 30cm (12in) apart. Water well during dry spells to keep the plants thriving.
Seedlings typically emerge in 14-21 days.
