Strawberry Melba (Crowns)

Plant crown on soil surface 40cm apart in full sun. Grow in a raised bed or in pots. For best results the soil should be well prepared with organic matter and have good drainage. Surface mulching between plants prevents weeds, helps retain moisture and keeps fruits clean. Weed control is important. Strawberries are shallow rooted so require ample moisture for good growth and fruit production. A liquid fertiliser should be applied throughout the growing season. Plants bear well for about three seasons.

Our bulbs are seasonally available at leading garden retailers nationwide. Spring flowering varieties are in peak season February to June, and Summer flowering varieties and produce from June to September. Please contact your nearest garden retailer for availability.
