Romanesco Broccoli Seeds

Frequently Bought Together
Product Description
Romanesco Broccoli is a standout in every sense of the word, with its bright lime-green, spiral-shaped florets and distinctive nutty flavour. In the same family as cauliflower and broccoli seeds, this gourmet vegetable is just as easy to grow as any other broccoli or cauliflower seeds. Harvest the heads when firm and compact for the best flavour and texture.
Crisp and crunchy when enjoyed raw, Romanesco Broccoli is perfect for eating fresh in a green salad or with dips as a crudité. However, it’s equally good when cooked until tender and flavourful—try roasting it with olive oil and parmesan shavings for an easy Italian-style dish. Plus, with its high vitamin C content, Romanesco is as healthy for you as it is delicious.
Grow your own Romanesco Broccoli seeds and bring something new to your vegetable patch this year. Explore Mr Fothergill’s complete collection of vegetable seeds for even more delicious varieties to grow in your garden!

Contact UsHow To Grow
Sow Romanesco Broccoli seeds thinly, 5mm (1/4in) deep, in a garden bed or seed tray. Firm the soil down and keep it moist until it germinates. Seedlings should emerge within 7–12 days. Once the seedlings are about 10cm (4in) tall, transplant them to their final position in full sun, spacing the plants 60cm (2ft) apart to give them room to grow. Keep them well watered from then on, particularly during dry periods. You can harvest them 12-16 weeks after sowing; cut them when the middle heads are formed.
