When to Plant Cucumber Seeds
The best time to plant your cucumber seeds is from late spring to early summer in a greenhouse or sunny windowsill, transferring the plants to the garden after the danger of frost has passed. Choose a compact bush variety for gardens with limited space or container gardens such as the Cucumber Spacemaster. The vining varieties can be left to spread on the ground or trained along a trellis.
How to Grow Cucumber Seeds
Our cucumber seeds are best sown directly into the soil, 10 mm deep and 40–60 cm apart. The soil should be kept moist but be cautious of overwatering or letting the soil dry out. Seeds should take 4–10 days to germinate. Your cucumbers should be ready to harvest in approximately 60-90 days.
